• Bio: Ian Miller is a 2nd year PhD student studying 20th century African American history. His research is primarily focused on the Black Panther Party branch in New York City, but he is also interested in Black radical organizing during the 1960s and 1970s more broadly. By exploring the contributions that local activists made to the struggles for better housing, education and healthcare, Ian ultimately seeks to uncover a legacy that people of the modern day can build upon.
